Camp Cool Kids

Camp Cool Kids

by Jasmine from Gundang

On Tuesday we sat on the bus and waved to our families, we were on our way to camp. We arrived and every activity looked so fun. We were introduced to our camp leaders Doc and Fred, but we gave them nicknames which were Pringle Man and Freddo Frog.

As soon as we settled in to our cabins we went and did some activities. First, my group did bushcraft and next was high ropes. I did not like high ropes. The big swing was very fun. Mr Kirk went first and yelled “woohoo!”, but I think he did that because he was scared. I loved the flying fox!

They make great food there. The foods were pancakes, hotdogs, ice-cream and more. At every meal we had snow cones, they were so nice!

Before bedtime we had a camp story. I liked listening to it. We had hot Milo, we brushed our teeth and got into our PJ’s. Then, it was lights out and we went to sleep. Well, most of us.

The best thing of all for me was the flying fox. Me and Oshini went together. It was so much fun! When I came back to school I missed camp, but I was happy to see my family.
