Tacoma Public School has a hardworking Green Team where students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 have the opportunity to get involved. Sessions are held on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at lunchtime where students learn valuable life skills through hands on experiences. The children learn about the life cycle of plants and participate actively in planting, watering and harvesting fresh produce. The produce is then used in the school canteen and is available for purchase on Friday afternoons. The Green Team activities teach the students about sustainable healthy eating.
