Gates
Gates will be opened each morning at 8.30am and closed at 9.30am.
All gates with the exception of the main entry will be locked. Gates will be reopened in the afternoon at 2.45pm and locked again at 3.15pm
Playgrounds supervision
Supervision of the playground commences prior to school at 8.30 am.
Parents are responsible for children who are in the playground before 8.30am or after 3pm. It is expected that children who walk home do so as soon as their class is dismissed as the duty teacher is supervising bus students only.
Office information
Please send all money together with the permission note, in an envelope or plastic bag clearly marked with your child's name and the activity for which they are making the payment. Please do not send permission notes without money or vice versa as this often confuses students.
Payments may be paid online via this website, notes should then be returned to school with the receipt number recorded on it.
Part payments can be made on most activities.
To ensure no student misses out, it is important that all payments are made by the required date.
Newsletters
Tacoma Public School newsletter is published fortnightly on a Monday. Newsletters are no longer printed and are available via the Sentral parent portal and uploaded on the website. General notices and permission notes are sent home with one child from each family.
Sentral Parent Portal
"Sentral Parent Portal" is our chosen school app to ensure we have a quick efficient communication line with our parents. Our school finds that this app is efficient and gives immediate communication with our parent body. This is a free app and can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Permission for school activities/excursions can be given via this app.
Canteen
The school canteen is a P&C run canteen and is opened for recess and lunch orders on Thursdays and Fridays. See the canteen menu for prices etc.
